FOUR PRINCIPLES OF EATING RIGHT:
Principle 1 : Eat something within the first 10-15 minutes of getting up.
Tea/Coffee should not be the thing you have when you wake up. These stimulants will increase the blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate and only end up stressing the body. In turn, the body will respond by hampering the fat burn process. Instead, go for a fruit shake, smoothie, fresh fruits or whole foods like oats, light parantha, whole wheat cereal, brown bread with eggs etc. All these will make you less likely to overeat later and your blood sugar remains stable throughout the day.
Principle 2: Eat every two hours.
When you eat every two hours, your meals are likely to be small. And when our body gets a small amount of calories at one time, they’re utilised better and not stored as fat. Also, you will depend less on stimulants during the day.
Principle 3: Eat more when you are active and less when you are not.
Your body’s requirement change depending on your activity levels, hormonal changes etc. Eating more food when you are active will make your body an efficient calorie burner, which will increase the metabolic rate of your body. This will make you energetic throughout the day and will help you loose fat more effectively.
Principle 4: Finish your last meal at least two hours prior to sleeping.
An extension of priciple 3- eat less post sunset and as your activities low down. this way, most of your food is digested before you go to sleep, which will lead to a sound sleep and leaves your body free o do its repair work.
Hope these things will help you to streamline your routine and eating habits as they did for me .. I am still not in total control of my hunger pangs and exercising routine, but then its just the beginning. 🙂
